I have been having a similar problem for the last 2 days. An initial internet search led me to investigate the presence of an extra period at the end of the incoming mail settings in outlook 2021. the post I found indicated that they resolved their problem by getting rid of the period at the end of the server identifier string "pop3 cast.net."
