I'm flying Volaris from TJ to PV soon and just noticed the maximum sporting equipment length is 79 inches per their website. I have called and can't get a straight answer. Have you flown Volaris with rods in rod carrier longer than 79 inches...

I call Volaris "well sir, because you requested a refund, your "change flight" option has now expired and you will have to take the refund and then just purchase the new tickets.

Is there any transportation service to take u to magdalena bay from cabo airport? I know u can rent a car, but was seeing if any of the transportation services do that trip?

We flew Volaris out of TJ. We had a 8 1 2' tube and 6 fully loaded reels on our checked baggage. Paid an extra Sport fee for the rod tube $46 I think. No issues. You can not carry on loaded reels. All I can say is make sure you buy insurance! One year I had them break 5 rods only to find out they covered NOTHING because I didn't have insurance.

We fly into Culican or Mazatlan on Volaris on a Mexican domestic flight through CBX. They could care less at the little airports that we fly into about our fishing gear.

At the CBX bridge entrance on the US side, Volaris airlines has a check in right there as you walk in. Nobody checks your rod tube. You just surrender it with your checked bag and you are on your way. Later in the airport , you walk throgh customs with your carry on stuff. There you are checked by customs.
