Thanks for this great thread! I've tried everything, but Steam always starts automatically, despite the .bat file. Sure you can click away and it's a good workaround, but it would be perfect without steam launch. What can I do differently? I took the .exe from the DSX folder. If I take them out of the MAIN folder, the DSX start doesn't work at all.
Between DSX settings and Steam settings I can't get the controller to work properly in FF7RI. If I use DSX with DualSense emulation and select DualSense as the controller in the game's settings, all the inputs are wonky and it's pretty unusable.
Also, I haven't tested the newest build of DSX, but from what I've used in the past, it's clashing with the native Dualsense support on any games I tried. Haptics and Adaptive Trigger will not work in game if I have DSX open (with all the emulation features turned off).
DSX got mine working with battlenet but i’m also extremely concerned about the banhammer. Sony updating the firmware just a few days after DSX got Dualsense edge support is ridiculous. At least update the firmware updater to recognise dualsense edge then, hello.
Launch DSX. Under the "Home" tab in the top right corner, you should see the "Controller Emulation" setting set it to DualShock4 and minimize the app (it has to be running in the background) Now the controller will work in any game, even if it's not on steam. You can also set adaptive triggers and many other settings.
So, after my recent thread, I decided to buy the DualSense Edge but I am not entirely sure how to get it setup. Someone mentioned I need DSX software…
there is this dualsenseX, it can use dualsense but the polling rate is very low (higher input lag) although its not a big deal in casual games, but if u play games where input lag is a big deal then i wouldn't recommend dsx
DSX > Settings > Controller > Touchpad > For all the Button settings there [example: "Slowdown Sensitivity Speed Hold Button"] you need to pick a button you will never use on your controller (for me I chose the Mic_Button) and set that button as the bind for all of those there.
The only solution was leaving the dualsense in the usb3.0 with DSX or the update software open because if not, the dualsense turn off and don't charge. It takes abou 3 4 hours to charge fully. But now I think my usb3.0 it's the problem, I plan to change my motherboard in the future.
